Map of the Chesapeake Bay commissioned by Antoine Raymond Jean Gualbert Gabriel de Sartine, comte d'Alby, French Navy Secretary of State, in 1778. Based on Anthony Smith's 1776 map entitled: A New and Accurate Chart of the Bay of Chesapeake. It possibly originated in the book, Netptune Americo-Septentrional.
