Describes the weather as cold and windy. Discusses what she ate for dinner: canned steak, and onions. Complains that it was not successful because they did not have bread. Discusses her plans in Washington. Hopes to see some shows and wants to go on a boat ride to Mt. Vernon. Asks her mother to put her check into a savings bank. Hopes to have enough soon to start paying off her debts. Discusses her morning and planned to get some chores done but instead spent it crocheting. States that some of her students did not do well on their exams and is hoping they will do better on their retake.
