Addressed to Mrs. John T. Johnson. Describes how she was feeling the morning of writing the letter. Lura woke up late and had to go down to breakfast late. Took a trip to the store with Miss Lindsay and Miss France. Discusses how she played tennis + sports the day before and since she had not been keeping up with the game, she lost most of her skills. Asked Mary to give the church fifty dollars. Talks about how the weather is getting warmer. Complains that she does not get to enjoy it because she is working all the time. Discusses her stockings + tights and how they are about to wear out. Explains how she must “darn” (mend) them multiple times a day. Discusses her love for reading the bible every morning in the chapel + church.
