Programs and playbills (2 folders), 1932-1940
Scope and Contents
The Lura Frances Johnson papers include correspondence, photographs, and other ephemeral items, including those related to many educational organizations and conferences. Ms. Johnson wrote to her mother frequently, and the collection includes several of these letters, which provide valuable primary source insight into the life of a Seminary teacher. There is also a small amount of incoming correspondence from fellow teachers (including poet Eleanor B. North) and a student. One of the more interesting ephemeral items is a World War II era Aircraft Warning Service Observer Identification Card. Some photographs were labeled, with the labels mostly indicating the names of fellow teachers.
