The papers of Lillian Wray consist mostly of copies of her original columns in the Lexington Park Enterprise newspaper and personal documents and objects pertaining to events and happenings at St. Mary’s Seminary and the surrounding area ranging mostly, but not exclusively, from 1956-1958. The collection contains many photocopies and a few original clippings of her column “Campus Corner” in The Enterprise, a Lexington Park newspaper. The column was a way for Lillian to offer insight into events that were happening at the Seminary, other local events and whatever was relevant to the time of year (i.e., Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc.). She never wrote about herself specifically, but shared a few stories from her time at the Seminary. Some of her columns recounted productions or events put on at the Seminary or local schools, whose programs are included in this collection. Her diploma and a piece of personal jewelry are also included. Personal papers related to Lillian Wray’s life at the Seminary, such as grade reports, letters, receipts, awards, newspaper clippings, and other miscellaneous documents make up the rest of the collection.
