 Series

Scope and Contents note

In 1965, Governor J. Millard Tawes created the Constitutional Convention Commission to study the need for constitutional revision. The Constitutional Convention convened in Annapolis in September 1967 and adjourned in January 1968; a proposed constitution was rejected by the voters the following May. J. Frank Raley, Jr. was one of two elected delegates to the Constitutional Convention from St. Mary's County, and the bulk of material in this series consists of proposals, bulletins, memoranda and correspondence from that convention.
